All fighters made weight at the UFC 128 weigh-ins today at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
The UFC light heavyweight title bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Jon Jones is official with both fighters weighing in at 205 pounds.
“I feel great. This is the biggest opportunity of my life, and I’m definitely going to execute the situation,” said Jones following the weigh-in.
Rua said the belt is his and it’s going to stay his, although Jones has been signing his name as UFC Champion all week.
“I really face this as a disrespect. Even though he’s confident – I understand that he’s confident, but this is disrespectful. But it’s okay because tomorrow we’ll see who’s the better man,” said Rua.
