UFC 129 News: Prelims Draw 1.5 Million Viewers

UFC Prelims broadcast draws 1.5 million viewers

The “UFC Prelims” show for UFC 129 did one of the bigger ratings in show history, scoring 1.5 million viewers for a 1.0 household rating.

HeavyMMA.com was informed of the ratings by Spike TV officials on Monday.

The show featured preliminary bouts between welterweights Nate Diaz and Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger taking on Sean Pierson.

The rating was good enough to place the episode fourth among all of the UFC Prelim specials on Spike. The record is held by February’s UFC 126 event, which scored 2 million viewers.

Numbers for the pay per view broadcast are not yet available.
