Neer, Wisniewski Slated for Versus 6 Prelims

Neer gets called back to the big show

After a dominant win at Superior Cage Combat 2 last weekend, Josh Neer is heading back to the UFC to face Keith Wisniewski at UFC on Versus 6.

HeavyMMA.com confirmed the bout with sources close to the event. MMAJunkie first reported the news.

Neer has not competed in the UFC since 2009, but has only lost one bout since being cut from the company. His main-event win over Blas Evena at SCC 2 put an exclamation mark on his four-fight winning streak.

Wisniewski has competed in the UFC one time, losing to Nick “The Goat” Thompson at UFC 56.

UFC on Versus 6 will be the final Versus-televised UFC card. It takes place October 6 in Washington, D.C. and is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson.
