Cambre played all 11 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Vikings. The undrafted rookie wideout out of Louisiana has now suited up in five games for the Giants but has yet to draw a target. The Giants continue to deploy him almost exclusively on special teams; he's logged just five snaps on offense this season.
The Giants signed Cambre to their active roster from the practice squad Saturday. Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports. Cambre had already been elevated the maximum three times, so he was unable to appear in another game without being signed to the active roster. The 24-year-old hasn't recorded any catches this season and should continue to see the majority of his playing time on special teams.
Cambre reverted to the Giants' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Cambre was elevated for the third game in a row before Monday's 33-15 loss to the Patriots, failing to record any stats while playing two snaps on offense and 12 more on special teams. The wide receiver was once again active while Jalin Hyatt was a healthy scratch. Cambre will now have to be officially signed to the active roster in order to appear in another contest with New York this season.
