The good news for Simona Halep: She’s into the final at the Western & Southern Open, her fifth of the year. The bad news? Serena Williams will be on the other side of the court.

Williams, already easily the best in the world entering the year, has somehow found a way to extend the gap between her and the rest of the WTA. She’s won all three majors, has been beaten only twice (she’s lost a couple others via walkover) and hasn’t lost a final since the 2013 Cincinnati Masters.

That said, Halep is one of the few ladies who have been able to at least challenge Serena in 2015. She took her to three sets during the semifinals in Miami, eventually falling 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 in one of the best matches of the year.

Fans in Cincinnati can only hope this comes close to matching the drama of that grueling battle. It starts after the men’s final, which begins at 1 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast on ESPN2. If you can’t get to a TV, here’s how to watch online and on mobile:
