Who Is Jerrard Randall?

Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon got knocked out of the game against UCLA early in the second quarter. Most of the nation got its first introduction to Arizona backup quarterback Jerrard Randall.

Randall was a dual-threat quarterback from Florida that committed to LSU. He was listed third on the quarterback depth chart and never played a down of actual football for the Tigers.

After a season in Baton Rouge, Randall transferred to Northeast Community College. Before he committed to LSU, Randall actually committed to Oregon before flipping to the Tigers. Randall was heavily recruited by a number of teams including FSU, Michigan, Nebraska and West Virginia.

While Randall does serve as the backup quarterback, he is known primarily to Arizona fans as their Wildcat quarterback. He normally came into games for the team to take advantage of his running ability at quarterback for a few plays.
