LeSean McCoy would like to run a lot this Sunday. A lot. He does not plan to stop running this Sunday.

The Buffalo Bills running back squares off against his former squad in a non-divisional matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend and while both squads are battling for a playoff berth, McCoy’s singular anger could be enough to spark a victory.

Of course, McCoy is used to a huge workload. Over the last four games the Bills standout has racked up 93 total touches and has yet to notch fewer than 21 in any single game. Still, is that enough to douse the Eagles recently rejuvenated confidence? After all, Philadelphia is fresh off an upset victory, on the road, over the New England Patriots last week.

It’s that recent performance that has helped make this an even matchup according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. Still, someone’s got to win, right? And there’s a good amount of betting history to expect the Bills to come out on top.

Buffalo is 6-1 ATS and 5-2 SU in its last seven games when playing the Eagles. The Bills are also 4-1 ATS in their last five games when playing on the road against Philadelphia. As if that wasn’t enough, the Bills are also 4-6 ATS and 4-6 Over/Under in December road games, per the OddsShark NFL Database.

On the flip side, the Eagles haven’t done much to inspire confidence betting-wise. In the last six games, Philadelphia is 2-4 ATS and SU and just 2-5 ATS in its last seven games at home.

The Eagles have been consistently inconsistent all season and while last week’s victory over New England was a huge step in the right direction, Philadelphia’s ground game is ranked No. 18 at home. Meanwhile, the Bills’ road defense is rated No. 16 in the league, allowing 115 yards per game.

The total for Sunday afternoon’s Buffalo and Philadelphia matchup is set at 46.5 points according to the sportsbooks. The total has gone OVER in five of Buffalo’s last seven games. It has also gone OVER in four of Philadelphia’s last five games.

The OddsShark computer is predicting 26-24 victory for the Eagles.
