Jarvis Landry headed to the locker shortly before halftime on Monday Night Football, but the reason and extent of his injuries are unknown. He attempted to return to the game, but went back to the locker shortly after Miami’s first possession.

Landry has been feeling ill all week, but tried to fight through the sickness so he could compete. The matchup means a lot to Landry, who is best friends with Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Landry returned to the field for the start of the second half. He returned a punt after Giants went three-and-out, but lingered on the ground grabbing at his left leg. He was still on the sidelines for the Dolphins first series.

Another problem for Landry has been his shoes. They were an issue multiple times in the first half, forcing Landry to leave the field momentarily. He was replaced by Greg Jennings.

It’s possible Landry wanted extra time to get fluids before the second half, especially if he is sick. That’s where his BFF Beckham went at the start of the third quarter.

As it is with all NFL players in December, Landry is not without minor injuries. He was listed as probable heading into tonight’s game with a knee injury. It’s unknown if that was the cause for his early exit.

The Dolphins are out of the playoff race at 4-8, but are attempting to play spoilers against the Giants. They were aggressive in the first half, mixing physical runs with empty-back sets and moving the ball for three scores. Landry was involved early and often, catching seven passes for 49 yards in the first half.

With his short catches and big-play ability, Jarvis Landry is paramount to the Dolphins offense. Being across the sidelines from his brother ODB makes this game even more special. If you need last-second fantasy points from Landry, he’s sure to come through in the second half and beyond.
