Wayne Rooney returns to the United lineup today, n an attempt to stem the Red’s worst run of form this season.

Three draws followed by consecutive losses would rattle any team, but it’s a nightmare stretch for United. During that run they’ve been knocked out of Champions League, and dropped from second to fourth in the league table. Injuries have been partly to blame, but after Chelsea fired Jose Mourihno, even van Gaal is feeling the heat.

For United, the best remedy is to head home. For all their away struggles, United maintain their position as the best home side in the BPL. They’ve allowed just one goal in their previous nine home league matches, and have yet to be defeated at Old Trafford this season. Norwich has struggled mightily at Old Trafford, falling by a 4-0 scoreline on each of their three previous visits.
