When these two squared off the first time, it was a thoroughly entertaining affair. Linares ultimately went into Crolla’s hometown and won via unanimous decision, but “Million Dollar” pushed the Venezuelan to 12 rounds for the first time in his career, and the fight turned into one of the best of the year.

“The first fight was a hell of a fight,” said Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn. “Anthony was the favorite and now Jorge is the favorite. Anthony is the challenger. He’s done it before against Darleys Perez [to win a title] and he came back better, and he needs to do that again, as Jorge is the No. 1 in the division and proved it here last time.”

Many were clamoring for a rematch soon after the first one ended.

Linares is a slight favorite according to the oddsmakers, and rightfully so considering how good he looked in September, but with Crolla having nothing to lose and thus entering with a different outlook, there’s a good chance this fight turns out to be just as entertaining as the first.
