NCAA Tournament Teams 2017: Full List for March Madness

With less than a week to go until Selection Sunday, teams have already begun punching their ticket to the Big Dance. Heavy will be using this page to keep an updated list of all the NCAA Tournament 2017 teams.

Over the weekend, four teams secured a spot in the tournament. Jacksonville State won the Ohio Valley Conference to be the first team to clinch an automatic bid. Jacksonville State entered the tournament as the fourth seed and were able to dethrone top seeded Belmont who was the heavy favorite.

Florida Gulf Coast took care of business in the Atlantic Sun tournament and also won the regular season title. Yes, “Dunk City” is back in the tournament to look to play spoiler for teams in bigger conferences. FGCU made short work of North Florida 77-61 in the title game.

Wichita State was sitting on the bubble but was able to get an automatic bid by winning the Missouri Valley Conference. The Shockers entered the tournament with the second seed and defeated top-seeded Illinois State 71-51 in the championship.

Winthrop came up with a decisive victory in the Big South tournament championship over Campbell. According to SB Nation, it is their first tournament birth since 2010. They entered their conference tournament as the top seed.

East Tennessee State, UNC Wilmington and Iona are the latest teams to punch their ticket. Iona and Siena gave baketball fans a treat as the MAAC championship game went to overtime. Iona advanced by hitting two clutch free throws with 1.2 seconds to play.
