On Tuesday, the Cubs claimed Doug Nikhazy off of waivers.
He appeared in one game for the Chicago White Sox this season.
Bruce Levine of WSCR-AM wrote (on April 28): “Cubs claim LHP Doug Nikhazy off of waivers from the White Sox. Inf Ben Cowles has been DFA once again by the team.”
Nikhazy has appeared in three MLB games over part of two seasons with the Cleveland Guardians (and White Sox).
The 26-year-old was picked in the second round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
