Here’s what people were saying on social media:
@artiebucco_chef: “If you think David Stearns is bad at acquiring MLB talent, you are about to find out very quickly how bad he is at selling off assets”
@NDS1089: “Let’s go!! Start selling off now. Peralta, Holmes, Lindor, Bichette”
@MetsFan482: “I want Stearns fired, but if that won’t happen at least during this season, and it’s still early, I would look to BUY RIGHT NOW. Get a slugger, get another pitcher, get another reliever, dump 3-4 dead weight players and bring up some prospects and perhaps you go on a roll.”
@BPOTTER95: “Wonder what the cost would be”
@cubsfan858: “Freddy Peralta would be an absolute home run addition for Jed and Co. This is a World Series caliber team, and would be a World Series swing from the F.O. Get it done!”
