Los Angeles Dodgers Announce Shohei Ohtani Injury Update After Mets Game

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers played the New York Mets (at home) in California.

The Dodgers won by a score of 4-0.

Shohei Ohtani finished with one run and one strikeout in four at-bats.

Dodgers Announce Shohei Ohtani Injury Update

During the game, Ohtani had an injury scare when he got hit by a pitch.

Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic wrote: “Shohei Ohtani got hit by a pitch on the right shoulder, prompting some of the loudest boos I’ve heard at Dodger Stadium. But he looks to be ok and is staying in.”

After the game, manager Dave Roberts provided an update on the future Hall of Famer.

Jack Harris of The California Post wrote: “Shohei Ohtani did have a bandage on the back of his shoulder where he got hit by the pitch tonight, but Dave Roberts said it’s only a bruise and shouldn’t impact his pitching start Wednesday

“I’m happy he’s not pitching tomorrow,” Roberts quipped”

Ohtani’s Incredible Dodgers Tenure

Ohtani is currently batting .267 with five home runs, ten RBI’s and ten runs in 16 games so far this season.

He is in his third year playing for the Dodgers.

They have won the World Series Championship in each of his first two seasons with the franchise.

In addition to his batting, the four-time MVP has also pitched in two games this year.

He is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA.

Dodgers And Mets

The Dodgers are off to another incredible start to the season with a 12-4 record in 16 games. 

They are 7-3 in the ten games they have played at home in Los Angeles.

After two more games against the Mets, the Dodgers will visit the Colorado Rockies on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Mets have gone cold, losing six games in a row.

They are 7-10 in 17 games, which has them at the bottom of the National League East.

On the road, the Mets are 4-4 in eight games away from Citi Field.
