Los Angeles Dodgers' star Freddie Freeman gets big news.

Freddie Freeman isn’t just chasing a three-peat with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The World Series champ is about to be a father of four, with wife Chelsea Freeman sharing a heartfelt Sunday post confirming baby No. 4 is officially on the way for a growing Freeman crew that’s getting bigger, and one proud baseball family giving Los Angeles Dodgers fans something extra to smile about this spring. The Los Angeles Dodgers have a lot to be excited about in 2026 — and this might top the list.

Los Angeles Dodgers Star Freddie Freeman’s Growing Family

Chelsea Freeman shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 22, writing, “Baby #4 is on the way, and our hearts are already so full.” The post featured the couple’s oldest son, Charlie, holding an ultrasound image while Chelsea added that they are “incredibly grateful for the amazing woman helping bring our baby into our lives” — and that they’re choosing to honor her privacy as they walk this chapter. She closed it out by asking fans: “What do you think… brother or sister?”

Some things are bigger than baseball. Some things are bigger than the Dodgers. Some things are bigger than the World Series. This is one of those things.

Freddie and Chelsea married in 2014 and have three sons — Charlie, Brandon, and Maximus. Chelsea and Freddie lovingly refer to their youngest boys as “twins with a twist” after navigating a surrogacy journey to bring both into the world just a few months apart.

What This Means for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2026

Make no mistake — Freeman’s full attention is on a three-peat. The 36-year-old is entering his fifth year of a six-year, $162 million deal, and he showed zero signs of slowing down in 2025 with a .295 batting average, .367 OBP, .869 OPS, 24 home runs, and 90 RBIs across 147 games. He earned his ninth All-Star selection and helped the Dodgers win back-to-back World Series titles.

Now in his 17th year in the big leagues — and with a loaded Dodgers roster around him — Freeman has said multiple times that he hopes to finish his career in Los Angeles.

Dodgers Spring Training 2026 is Rolling

The Los Angeles Dodgers opened spring training on Saturday, February 21, with a 15-2 win over the Angels, and the energy in camp is exactly what you’d expect from a team chasing history. Kyle Tucker made his spring debut for the Dodgers, and the home opener is set for March 26.

Freeman’s got a full plate — literally and figuratively. A new baby on the way, a World Series three-peat on the table, with 2026 spring training in full swing.

Here’s the upcoming LA Dodgers spring training schedule:
