The Los Angeles Dodgers are once again entering the 2026 campaign as the team that everyone else is chasing in MLB. After winning their second straight World Series in 2025, the Dodgers once again loaded up over the offseason, and they are the heavy favorite to win it all once again as Opening Day draws near.

For the time being, Los Angeles is still waiting on several players to return to its team from the 2026 World Baseball Classic, but once they do, they won’t have much time until Opening Day arrives. And ahead of the start of the new season, the Dodgers made a big announcement that will surely catch the attention of their fans.

Dodgers Announce Partnership with Uniqlo

Over the past decade or so, the Dodgers have transformed themselves into perhaps the most hated team in baseball. With a front office that is willing to spend as much money as possible in order to win games, the rest of the league has been unable to match their pace. As a result, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a lockout take place next year when the league’s current collective bargaining agreement expires.

In the process, Los Angeles has assembled a superteam. Led by two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers are the deepest team on both sides of the ball, and while any team can win on any given night in baseball, it’s telling that L.A. has won the two most recent World Series championships. Entering 2026, the Dodgers appear to feature their most dominant roster yet.

Simply put, Los Angeles is the talk of the town in the world of baseball, which is helping them attract partners, too. Case in point, right ahead of the Opening Day, the Dodgers have announced a partnership with fashion brand Uniqlo, which will see the company serve as the team’s official field presenting partner at Dodger Stadium.

“At a time when the presence of Shohei Ohtani has transformed the global branding of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team has agreed to a deal with fashion giant Uniqlo to become Dodger Stadium’s official field presenting partner, multiple sources tell The Athletic, attaching a sponsorship to the historic ballpark for the first time in its 64-year history,” Katie Woo reported.

Dodgers Enter 2026 with World Series or Bust Expectations

This is the latest in a long line of moves that have seen the Dodgers emerge as a superpower in the world of baseball. Teaming up with Uniqlo, which is a Japanese-based company, will only give Los Angeles more international recognition, which is saying something when considering guys like Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki are among the team’s best players.

Put it all together, and the sky-high expectations that have surrounded Los Angeles for the past few years have arguably never been higher. The Dodgers know what it takes to win a title, and they have everything they need at their disposal in order to dominate. The only thing that can stop them is themselves, and while fans may hate them, there’s no doubt all eyes will be on this team once the new season gets underway.
