The Brewers continue to play without Sal Frelick, as he has been out since July 17.

This week, the Brewers announced the latest update on Frelick.

MLB.com wrote (on August 19): “Was in Milwaukee on Aug. 18 to work out with the Major League team before returning to the Minors to continue his rehab assignment. The Brewers want to see two pain-free days throwing before they consider adding Frelick back to the bigs.”

According to the site, he could return as soon as Friday.

He was picked in the 1st round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

The 26-year-old is in the middle of his fourth season at the MLB level (all with the Brewers).

Frelick would be a nice boost to the Brewers when he returns.

He won a Gold Glove Award during the 2024 season (when he was 24).

The Brewers are in the middle of a very strong 2026 season where they look like a team who can reach the World Series.

They are at the top of the National League Central with a 79-49 record in 128 games.

Over their last ten games, the Brewers have gone 5-5 (and they are 43-23 in 66 games at home).

Following their series with the Braves, they will head on the road to visit Bo Bichette and the New York Mets on Tuesday night at Citi Field.
