The Milwaukee Brewers are trying to sweep the Atlanta Braves on August 23rd, 2026. Meanwhile, they have announced news regarding Kyle Harrison, Dustin May, and Jacob Misiorowski.
Before they go up against the New York Mets, the Brewers got a dose of good news. Garrett Mitchell was injured during Sunday night’s game, but MLB insider Todd Rosiak explained that his injury isn’t as bad as it first appears.
“It’s a right forearm contusion for Garrett Mitchell, according to the Brewers. Sigh of relief there for player and team,” Rosiak wrote during the game.

Even before the final game of their series against the Braves was complete, the Brewers announced news regarding Harrison, May, and Misiorowski.
That trio will be the starting pitchers for the Brewers’ upcoming series against the Mets. In fact, here is how the Brewers plan on rolling them out:
- August 25: Kyle Harrison
- August 26: Dustin May
- August 27: Jacob Misiorowski
Harrison is a 25-year-old pitcher who is in his fourth MLB season. May, who was acquired at the trade deadline, is a 28-year-old hurler who was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Finally, Misiorowski will pitch the third game. The 24-year-old pitcher is a favorite to win the NL Cy Young Award.

While Misiorowski is the ace of the group, Harrison and May aren’t slouches.
Harrison sports a 2.84 ERA in 20 starts. Additionally, he has recorded 122 strikeouts and a 1.11 WHIP in 98.1 innings.
May has pitched in 24 games between the Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals. In those games, he recorded 118 strikeouts, a 1.30 WHIP, and a 4.57 ERA in 124 innings.
Finally, there are a multitude of reasons why Misiorowski is a Cy Young candidate.
For starters, he boasts a 13-5 record, a 1.68 ERA, 216 strikeouts, and a ridiculous 0.76 WHIP in 24 starts.

Don’t let the lowly Mets fool you, they have been a decent team lately.
The Mets are 16.5 games back of the Braves, but they are 6-4 in their last 10 games. The only team in the NL Central with a better record over that span of time is the Brewers.
The Brewers have already played the Mets three times this year. Here is how those games turned out:
- July 20: Brewers 8, Mets 3
- July 21: Mets 4, Brewers 0
- July 22: Brewers 4, Mets 3
With the home stretch in sight, its reasonable to expect that the Brewers will turn the heat up against the Mets.
However, the only way to know for sure is to play the games.
