Milwaukee Brewers Announce Lineup News For Little League Classic vs Braves

The Milwaukee Brewers are looking for the series sweep against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday’s MLB Little League Classic. Before the game, they announced news regarding Luis Lara and Garrett Mitchell.

The Brewers are running away with the National League Central Division. Their 81-wins place them as the top team in the MLB.

Here is what you need to know about their lineup changes for today and on the MLB Little League Classic.

Prior to the start of the final game of their series against the Braves, the Brewers announced their roster.

According to Underdog MLB, here is who they are rolling out:

“Brewers 8/23

J. Chourio LF
B. Turang 2B
W. Contreras C
J. Bauers RF
A. Vaughn 1B
C. Yelich DH
J. Ortiz SS
G. Mitchell CF
D. Hamilton 3B

S. Drohan SP,” the social media account posted.

Lara was taken out of centerfield with Garrett Mitchell taking his place. Additionally, the Brewers are also replacing Cooper Pratt with David Hamilton.

Lara is a 21-year-old right fielder for the Brewers. In 36 games, he has recorded 15 RBIs, two stolen bases, and a .255 batting average.

On the other hand, Mitchell is a 27-year-old with nine home runs, 54 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases.

The big attention draw on Sunday is the fact that this is the Little League Classic. For those unfamiliar, here is what you need to know about it.

For starters, players from the Little League World Series will be in attendance for today’s game.

“Participating players, coaches and families of the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series, along with Williamsport area residents, will fill a significant portion of Bowman Field’s capacity for this celebration of the game and its legacy,” the MLB website writes.

The theme of this year, will be Hank Aaron.

“This year’s event will pay homage to Hank Aaron through the continuation of his famous mantra, “Keep Swinging”, celebrating his perseverance, courage, and optimism in a way that resonates with young players navigating their own challenges on and off the field,” the website continues.

The broadcast for Sunday’s game will begin at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, with the first pitch being scheduled for around 7:15 PM Eastern Time.

The pitchers battle for Sunday’s Little League Classic will be Shane Drohan for the Brewers versus Tyler Mahle of the Braves.
