They are coming off a series where they took two out of three from the San Diego Padres.

Before Monday’s game, news came out that the White Sox are signing Randal Grichuk.
Via Robert Murray of FanSided: “Sources: Free-agent outfielder Randal Grichuk and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a major-league contract.”
Grichuk began his season as a member of the New York Yankees.
That said, he got off to a slow start, batting .194 with six hits, two RBI’s and eight runs in 16 games.
Bryan Hoch of MLB.com wrote: “The Yankees DFA’ed Randal Grichuk during their series in Texas. He was 6-for-31 (.194).”

Grichuk was a first-round pick in the 2009 MLB Draft.
Over 13 seasons, the 34-year-old has also spent time playing for the Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels and Kansas City Royals.
His best stint came with the Blue Jays (four seasons) when he batted .243 with 422 hits, 90 home runs, 257 RBI’s and 232 runs in 479 games.

The White Sox come into Monday as the third-place team in the American League Central with a 16-18 record in 34 games.
They are 9-10 in the 19 games they have played on the road.
Meanwhile, the Yankees are the top team in the American League East with a 23-11 record in 34 games.
