Ahead of Saturday’s game, the Phillies have announced a roster move.
The Phillies wrote (via X): “Prior to today’s game against the Miami Marlins, the Phillies reinstated C J.T. Realmuto from the 10-day IL. To make room on the 26-man roster, INF/OF Dylan Moore has been designated for assignment.”
Moore had been in the middle of his first season playing for the Phillies.
He has three runs and one stolen base in 12 at-bats.
Spencer McKercher of NBC Sports Philadelphia wrote: “Dylan Moore has been DFA’d to make room for J.T. Realmuto after being reinstated today from the IL. Going with three catchers in the dugout… possibly could be seeing Stubbs in the outfield or infield.”
Moore’s MLB Career

Moore was picked in the seventh round of the 2015 MLB Draft.
He spent the first six and a half seasons of his career playing for the Seattle Mariners.
In 2024, Moore won a Gold Glove Award.
John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia had written on February 17: “Dylan Moore is getting infield instruction from Phillies coaches. Career .206 hitter but has won a gold glove. He could win a bench job as a utility player.”
Following the Mariners, Moore spent part of last season with the Texas Rangers.
He is batting .204 with 340 hits, 63 home runs, 198 RBI’s, 249 runs and 119 stolen bases in 702 career games.
