On Thursday night, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors played the Houston Rockets (in Texas).
The Warriors won by a score of 115-113 (in overtime).
They were still able to win the close game despite the fact that Kevin Durant had 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block while shooting 8/16 from the field and 3/5 from three-point range in 41 minutes.

After the game, Green spoke about his former teammate (Durant).
Green (via Sam Gordon of The San Francisco Chronicle): “I enjoy competing against greats… Kevin is one of the all-time greats. Top five NBA basketball player in the history of this game… I’m always excited for it.”

Kevin Durant Still Elite
Durant is still one of the elite players in the NBA at 37.
He is averaging 26.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest while shooting 51.0% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range in 58 games.

While Green is not on Durant’s level, he is still a future Hall of Famer.
The four-time NBA Champion is averaging 8.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 31.5% from three-point range in 51 games.
Nick Friedell wrote: “If that wasn’t the happiest Warriors locker room of the year — it was close. Players and coaches were smiling wide. Draymond said Steph texted him and was using. a lot of exclamation points. Kerr sounded like a proud father and compared it to a playoff win.”

The Warriors (32-30) beat the Rockets (38-23) in the first round of the 2025 playoffs.
They will meet again on April 5 in San Francisco.
