Knicks’ Josh Hart Reveals Which Team He Hates the Most

The New York Knicks are one of the most hated teams in the NBA. Outside of the state, there are plenty of fanbases and teams that dislike the Knicks. Both Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson are used to that with how long they have been in the league.

Hart and Brunson were asked a question by Joakim Noah on an episode of their The Roommates Show podcast. Noah asked if there was any team that they hate more than the rest. Brunson did not want to give an answer because he didn’t want to give any bulletin board material.

Hart did not care. He gave his answer fairly quickly.

Knicks Guard Josh Hart Hates The Pacers The Most

Hart quickly replied, saying he hates the Pacers the most.

“Indiana. I hate Indiana.”

Hart and the rest of the Knicks have had to play the Pacers in each of the last two postseasons, getting eliminated both times. New York lost to Indiana in the second round in 2024 and lost to them again in the Eastern Conference Finals a year ago.

In those battles, Hart was hurt for most of the 2023 matchup. Despite that, he played in all six games. He shot much worse in the second-round loss than he did during the Eastern Conference Finals matchup, as he was really counted on last year.

The Knicks Likely Won’t Face The Pacers Again in The Playoffs This Year

It’s highly unlikely that the Knicks will end up facing the Pacers in the playoffs this season. While the Knicks are one of the best teams in the East, Indiana sports the worst record in the NBA. Injuries have derailed any shot they have of making another run to the NBA Finals.

New York currently sits fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. They sport the third-best offense in the league now that Mike Brown is leading the team. The starters are playing better because they are playing fewer minutes, leaving them fresher.

While the Knicks would love to get revenge on the Pacers in the playoffs this season, their bigger goal is to win an NBA title. That’s part of the reason why Brunson skirted this question; he doesn’t want anyone to have motivation over him.
