Ashley Kerr is the wife of Oklahoma City Thunder Head Coach Mark Daigneault.
Kerr and Daigneault are two of the most influential people in the Oklahoma sports scene — a true Oklahoman power couple.
Here’s everything you need to know about Ashley Kerr, Mark Daigneault’s wife.
1. Kerr Is A Florida Gators Legend
Ashley Kerr did Division I gymnastics at the University of Florida.
She competed for the Gators from 2007-10, earning accolades including the SEC Academic Honor Roll and NCAA Scholastic All-America team honors all four years.
She was a great leader off the mat, serving as the president of Florida’s Student-Athlete advisory committee and winning the 2010 Outstanding Leadership Award from the UF Alumni Association.
Because of her athletic leadership and legacy, she was hired as a volunteer student manager at Florida immediately after graduation. She stayed at Florida for several more years, working her way up to an Assistant to the Head Coach position, and winning three straight national championships with the program from 2013-2015.
Kerr got her undergraduate degree, masters degree AND met Daigneault at Florida (Daigneault was serving as an assistant for the Florida basketball team). Daignuealt ultimately left to coach in Oklahoma City and Kerr followed him a few years later.
2. She Is A Legendary Oklahoma Gymnastics Coach
Kerr didn’t stop winning national championships after leaving Florida.
Since joining the Oklahoma coaching staff, the Sooners have won four national championships, including one in 2025 and three in the past four seasons!
This is due in large part to Kerr. She is an assistant coach for Oklahoma that focuses on beam. Under Kerr’s tutelage since she was hired in 2018, beam gymnasts have earned a whopping 18 NCAA All-American honors and two individual national championships.
An NBA finals championship would be huge for Daigneault, but he would still be six trophies away from catching his wife!
3. Kerr Was Born on Halloween
Here’s a fun fact — when October 31 rolls around, Daignuealt’s family has something even bigger than Halloween to celebrate — and that’s Kerr’s birthday!
One thing is for sure: there will never be a shortage of candy around the house when Kerr’s birthday rolls around.
4. They Had A Beautiful Tampa Wedding
Daigneault and Kerr were married on August 3, 2019 at the beautiful Oxford Exchange event venue in Tampa, Florida.
They hosted all of their guests at the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa throughout the weekend, where they rented out an entire hotel block.
According to their wedding photographer, they made the unique decision to have no wedding party and donated to the South Florida Baptist hospital foundation instead of giving out wedding favors.
Daigneault’s friend Ryan Ford officiated the wedding. Ford has a cool connection to Daigneault – he introduced him to Billy Donovan who hired him as an assistant coach at Florida and eventually brought him over to Oklahoma City.
It looks like it was an incredibly beautiful wedding.
5. They Have Two Kids Together
Ashley and Mark welcomed their first kid into the world back in November of 2021, a son they named AJ.
Then, on April 14, 2023, Ashley gave birth to his second child, a daughter named Stella.
Daigneault was by her side for both births.
One thing is for sure — both AJ and Stella have the genetic makeup of two of the best coaches in all of America.
Daigneault and Kerr may add another title to their trophy case if the Thunder win the Finals, and with their DNA, who knows if AJ and Stella might just add to the Daigneault family total someday.
