1. Jalen’s Parents Met Playing Basketball on a Military Base
Jalen’s parents, Ron and Nicole Williams, are both Air Force veterans, serving a combined 36 years in the United States Air Force.
And according to The Arizona Republic, Ron and Nicole met playing basketball on an Air Force base.
They continued to play basketball with Jalen at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona when he was growing up.
His love for basketball was set in motion even before he was born.
2. Jalen’s Brother Cody is in the NBA
Cody Williams is a forward for the Utah Jazz.
Cody was drafted 10th overall by the Jazz in the 2024 NBA draft after a star career at Colorado.
Jalen and Cody got to play against one another on February 21, 2025, and even swapped jerseys after the game.
Ronald, Nicole and Jasmin were all in the house to see it go down.
Jalen walked away with bragging rights however after the Thunder beat the Jazz 130-107.
3. Jalen’s Sister Jasmin is a Nurse
Older sister Jasmin Williams has always been one of Jalen’s biggest fans, but it turns out that she has a very successful career of her own.
According to her LinkedIn, Jasmin Williams has been working in the medical field for several years now. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and currently works at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
She’s following in Nicole’s footsteps; her mother is also in the medical field as a nurse practitioner.
4. The Whole Family Does Community Service Together
Jalen, Cody and the whole family made a habit of going to homeless shelters and serving their local community in any way they could growing up.
But it was never for the cameras: the NBA wanted to feature Jalen’s philanthropy on NBA draft night in 2022 and his family didn;t even have any photos of it.
5. The NBA Featured Ron After Jalen’s Iconic NBA Finals Game
Jalen Williams’ performance was key to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s victory in Game 5 of the 2025 NBA Finals.
Jalen poured in 40 points to help the Thunder to a critical 120-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers. It put Oklahoma City one win away from winning the 2025 NBA Finals.
Ron Williams was in the house to see it all, and he shared his pride with the NBA’s media people after the game.
“Beyond proud to see all of the hard work he’s put in over the years,” Ron said. “[To] have it come to fruition this early in his career, just beyond blessed to be able to experience that.”
Williams hopes to celebrate a 2025 NBA Finals win with his wonderful family.
