UPDATE: Phoenix Suns Make Grayson Allen Announcement Before Trail Blazers Game

On Tuesday evening, the Phoenix Suns will host the Portland Trail Blazers in Arizona for the play-in tournament.

The Suns are coming off a 135-103 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on the last day of the regular season.

Grayson Allen did not play in the game.

UPDATE: Grayson Allen has been ruled out (h/t Underdog NBA).

For Tuesday’s game, the Suns have announced that Allen is listed as questionable on the injury report.

@PHNX_Suns wrote: “NEWS: Grayson Allen (left hamstring soreness) is QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow’s Play-In Tournament game against the Trail Blazers. Allen is the only player listed on Phoenix’s injury report.”

Allen finished the 2025-26 regular season with averages of 16.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 40.3% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range in 51 games.

The former Duke star is in his third season playing for the Suns.

Suns This Season

The Suns are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 45-37 record.

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games (and are 25-16 at home).

Despite a talented roster (that also had Kevin Durant), the Suns are coming off a year where they missed the 2025 NBA playoffs.

The franchise reached the NBA Finals in 2021.

Allen’s Career

Allen was the 21st pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after an excellent college career.

He spent his rookie year with the Utah Jazz before stints with the Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks (and Suns).

His career averages are 11.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 44.3% from the field and 40.3% from three-point range in 454 games.

Trail Blazers Ahead Of Suns

The Trail Blazers finished the regular season with a 42-40 record, which had them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and 7-3 over their last ten).

The franchise last made the NBA playoffs in 2021.
