Travis Kelce makes his way onto the field ahead of Super Bowl LX.

For the first time in four years, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are not competing in the Super Bowl. Kelce, however, appeared to have the best time in San Francisco leading up to the big game.

Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, co-hosted a star-studded “New Heights” party before attending the 15th annual NFL Honors. Jason helped present the first-ever Protector of the Year Award to Chicago Bears offensive lineman Joe Thuney, while Travis appeared on stage as one of the 32 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominees.

Travis did not win the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, but that didn’t stop the 36-year-old from attending the Tight End & Friends after-party at Public Works.

After opting out of the Pro Bowl, most fans didn’t expect the four-time First-Team All-Pro to have such a heavy presence at Super Bowl 60. However, the future Hall of Famer attended the game on February 8.

While some players don’t even like to watch the Super Bowl if they are not playing in it, Kelce is not one of those guys. He joined Walter Payton Man of the Year winner Bobby Wagner and his fellow nominees on the field before kickoff.

Fans were thrilled to see Kelce at the game and wondered if his future bride, Taylor Swift, was also in town. However, Swift didn’t make it to San Francisco for Super Bowl week. Other viewers loved his black suit.

One fan commented, “He looks fantastic 😍 soooo what is Taylor up to? When she is MIA, she is up to something 😂😂.” Another fan simply wrote, “Looking sharp!!”

An Update on Travis Kelce’s Possible Retirement Plan Emerged Before Super Bowl 60

GettyTravis Kelce is expected to make a final decision on retirement sooner rather than later.

After 13 years in the league, Kelce is strongly considering hanging up his cleats for good. Kelce is officially a free agent after his two-year $34.5 million contract expired at the end of the season. In order to return to Kansas City, he’d need a new contract.

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt already said the door is open should Kelce want to play one more season. A few hours before the Seahawks-Patriots Super Bowl game kicked off on Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared an updated timeline on Kelce’s decision.

Kelce “has not made a firm decision on his future. However, he has been in touch with his team about a potential return and Kansas City wants him back,” sources told Rapoport. “The plan is to reconvene after the Super Bowl to finalize a plan that works for both parties.”

The veteran previously announced he’d reveal his final decision before free agency started in March. Kelce finished the 2025 season with 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns, proving he’s still got a lot more left in the tank.
