The Philadelphia Eagles have been heavily involved in the NFL rumor mill throughout the course of the 2026 offseason. A.J. Brown, the team’s star wide receiver, has been at the center of most of those rumors.

Howie Roseman has been very active at the wide receiver position this offseason. He has added players like Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Makai Lemon, and Dontayvion Wicks. Those moves suggest an incoming Brown trade.

Brown has been frustrated with his role in the Eagles’ offense over the last couple of years. That frustration has boiled over on the field on multiple occasions.

Parting ways seems like the best option for both parties at this point in time. With that being said, Philadelphia is widely expected to move Brown around June 1.

Keeping that in mind, a new update has stirred up the Brown rumors once again. A new team may be entering the trade sweepstakes for the star wideout.

Eagles Have New Potential Trade Suitor for A.J. Brown

According to a report from NFL insider Jason La Canfora, the Jacksonville Jaguars could become a team to watch as a Brown trade destination.

“Brian Thomas Jr. has regressed and been the subject of trade rumors, and 2025 top pick Travis Hunter is going to be playing way more CB than WR moving forward,” La Canfora wrote.

If the Jaguars truly are in on Brown, Roseman will be the biggest winner. He would be given all of the leverage in negotiations with multiple teams.

Howie Roseman Would Have Dangerous Power in This Scenario

All offseason long, the New England Patriots have been expected to pull off a trade for Brown. However, there have been reports that the Patriots haven’t been willing to pay the price that Roseman has been asking.

Jacksonville jumping into the mix could force New England’s hand.

Brown would be a perfect fit for the Patriots. He has found success with head coach Mike Vrabel back with the Tennessee Titans. Vrabel clearly would love to have Brown on his team again.

Should the Jaguars get involved in a bidding war with new England, Roseman would be able to keep his asking price the same or potentially even raise it. The Eagles could end up betting a bigger haul for Brown that they would have previously.

There is also a chance that other teams could hop into the mix. At one point this offseason, the Los Angeles Rams were interested in acquiring Brown and would have pivoted to trading Davante Adams if they made the trade happen.

Only time will tell what happens with Brown and Philadelphia. The Eagles are expected to trade him, but Roseman may be able to work his trade magic once again if a bidding war occurs.
