Tennis superstar Jannik Sinner continues his dominance at the 2026 Miami Open, moving one step closer to the “Sunshine Double” after winning at Indian Wells.
To reach the finals, Sinner must defeat Alexander Zverev in the semifinals on March 27. The world’s No. 2 player has a 7-4 career record against Zverev. After taking down Frances Tiafoe 6-2, 6-2, in the quarterfinals, the American star couldn’t help but give Sinner his flowers.
“He’s one of the best ball strikers the game has ever seen,” Tiafoe told reporters. “There’s no excuses… He’s a hell of a player.”

“He hits the ball super clean with great depth and he moves super well,” Tiafoe continued. “And he does it over and over. He serves at a high clip the majority of times and he makes the court feel pretty small with how well he moves.”
While Sinner extended his record for most sets won (30) in a row in the history of Masters 1000 events, fans hoped to see his girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic, at Hard Rock Stadium. However, Hasanovic is busy with her own exciting career accomplishments.

While flipping through the pages, “I heard there’s a cool girl in this magazine,” the Danish model says. Her sister finds her photo and jokes, “But you’re in the magazine?”
After a fan commented that they wanted to see all the photos, Hasaonovic wrote, “It will be up on Monday! <3.” Another fan wrote, “On a serious note, you are the best example to her !!! she is so lucky to have an older sister who works hard & achieves her dreams as inspiration 💗.”
Hasanovic, who launched her self-tanner line before the start of the Miami Open, is also in ads for Armani Beauty, Lancome, Bucherer CPO, and more.

While fans were quick to link Sinner to Laila Hasanovic last year after she attended numerous of his matches, including at Wimbledon, the four-time Grand Slam champion initially shut down relationship rumors.
“There’s a lot of attention,” said Sinner during a press conference during the Italian Open in May 2025. “Also, off the court, I was surprised to see some pictures, which, nothing serious. I’m not in a relationship!” The couple didn’t go public with their romance until October 2025.
Overall, Sinner likes to keep his private life private. During his previous relationship with tennis pro Anna Kalinskaya, “We keep everything very confidential,” he said, per Tennis.com. “I won’t say more.”
He told Vanity Fair Italia in February 2024, “I like talking about tennis, and sports in general. But if you’re referring to my private life, it’s true, I want to keep it that way. I want to protect the people closest to me, keeping them out of all this.”
