1. Ghaibi Is A Professional Equestrian
Auger-Aliassime isn’t the only elite athlete in this relationship.
Ghaibi competes in equestrian events internationally on behalf of the country Morocco. She has competed 44 times for Morocco, including in the 2017 Moroccan Royal Tour.
Even when she is not competing, Ghaibi loves to spend lots of time around horses. In 2019, she even had Auger-Aliassime try his hand at her sport. What a fun moment!
2. Ghaibi’s Father Got Her Into Equestrianism
Ghaibi started riding horses at a very young age, inspired by her father Karim.
Karim Ghaibi also participates in international equestrian competition for Morocco, even at 59 years old. He most recently competed on August 23, 2025.
Overall, he’s competed in 483 events for Morocco over the years, with two wins.
He also worked for the company equestrian connection, which provides equine therapy to people living with physical, emotional and mental special needs.
3. Ghaibi Is The Cousin Of Tennis Star Alja Tomanovic
The Australian professional tennis player Tomanovic and Ghaibi share Croatian blood, and they’ve been close for basically their entire lives.
Ghaibi is always showing her support and love for Tomanovic on social media.
Ghaibi seems to be close with a lot of tennis stars, and has been involved in the Tennis world for a long time. She’s also shared photos with other pros like Nick Kyrgios and Alexis Galarneau over the years.
4. Ghaibi and Auger-Aliassime Had Their First Date in 2019
That’s right, the happy couple has been together for over six years.
According to Ghaibi’s instagram, they had their first date back in March 2019 in Miami.
Auger-Aliassime proposed to Ghaibi in November 2024 and they will marry in September 2025.
5. Ghaibi Is Planning Their Wedding
While Auger-Aliassime is focused on winning the US Open, Ghaibi is planning the couple’s wedding. They will marry two weeks after the U.S. Open comes to an end.
Their ceremony will take place in Marrakesh, Morocco.
In an interview with People Magazine, Auger-Aliassime joked that he’s been so focused on Tennis that as long as he has his Dior suit ready, he’s good to go. He also made sure that plans included a full bar for the guests.
A few of Auger-Aliassime’s fellow Canadian tennis players, including Gabriel Diallo, Alexis Galarneau and Vasek Pospisil, are set to be in attendance.
