In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey had some choice words for UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell again.

Rousey takes on Gina Carano this week at the inaugural MVP card that takes place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Both women will fight in the event’s headliner.

Leading up to the event, Rousey already made clear that she was upset that the UFC didn’t let her fight against Gina Carano happen in the Octagon. Rousey explained that she didn’t think UFC President Dana White had anything to do with it, but that UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell was to blame for the fight not happening in the UFC. Earlier today, during the Ariel Helwani Show, Rousey took shots at Campbell again.

“It wasn’t personal, well, it was with Hunter because he was a [expletive] about it. He was being such a chauvinist [expletive], and he was being so dismissive and trying to get me and Gina to value ourselves less from the get-go, and acting like this wasn’t the greatest thing that has fallen into his lap since he’s [expletive] been there. He was like, ” You guys are so much older, and I have no idea how it is going to do”. I don’t even know who he was. I was told he was just being the lawyer,” Rousey said.

“Dana wanted me and Gina to fight for the 145lbs belt because it was vacant, and it was a way to retire the division. Then Hunter was like: “Yeah, then we can get rid of that division.”

“Just the way that he spoke of it, and how dismissive he was, the disdain that he had for the fighters of that weight. I’m like, [expletive], my husband (Travis Browne) is 6-foot-7. This is what you think? Women who are heavier at 135 pounds can’t offer you anything? That they’re worthless? That they’re worth scoffing at? It just really rubbed me the wrong way that this [expletive] guy is the person who’s going to be shepherding the company that I helped build. It really rubbed me the wrong way”.

“I was actually talking to my mom about it because he was like: “Oh, I met your mom. She was so great, tell her I said hi”. Alright. So, after the meeting, I asked my Mom if she knew Hunter Campbell. And she said that he was a [expletive].

Rousey’s mother, AnnMaria De Mars, is part of the California State Athletic Commission, which led to her awareness of Campbell.

“My mom had a meeting with him to get PowerSlap allowed for California. I think my mom said PowerSlap is everything that’s wrong with society. But she is very fair; she is not going to vote against something because she thinks it is distasteful. She wants to know whether or not it is safe. As a response, Hunter told the commission that it was a really big opportunity for these people. Because, according to him, many people would be doing meth in a trailer park if it weren’t for this. I’m like that’s what you think about the fighters?”

“We are glorified bum fights to this guy. This guy does not have a job because he’s good at it; he has a job because he is Dana and Lorenzo’s lawyer’s son. He was an [expletive] intern when I was there before, and now he’s [expletive] coming up to me saying, “I don’t know how you and Gina are going to do.” Like [expletive], I’m going to put on a bigger fight with Gina than you have had your entire [expletive] career. Keep trying to fail upwards, [expletive]. Keep trying to suck the right [expletive] in the right order. I’m [expletive] coming for your job.”

Rousey takes on Carano this Saturday live on Netflix.
