Zion Williamson: Breaking News

Williamson (knee) is listed as out for Sunday's game against Minnesota. Williamson has missed the last two games, and with New Orleans eliminated from postseason contention, it is easy to understand why he isn't suiting up for the final game of the 2025-26 campaign. Without Williamson in the lineup, Derik Queen will likely receive as many minutes as he can handle.

Williamson is out for Friday's game against Boston due to right knee injury management. It looks like the Pelicans are just about ready to shut down Williamson, though he'll have one more chance to appear during the regular season Sunday versus Minnesota. Derik Queen and Micah Peavy should see more playing time Friday for the depleted Pelicans.

Williamson will dress for Tuesday's game against Utah, though he's unlikely to play, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports. Williamson will be available versus the Jazz. However, he will likely only see action if necessary. With Herbert Jones and Saddiq Bey also not expected to see the floor, and Trey Murphy (ankle), Yves Missi (hand) and Dejounte Murray (hand) ruled out, Derik Queen and DeAndre Jordan are the favorites to enter the starting lineup.
