Charlie Wright is a longtime sports journalist with more than a decade of experience covering college and professional sports. He covers MLB with a focus on the Washington Nationals for Heavy.com.
Wright also serves as a news reporter at MLB Trade Rumors, where he provides coverage on breaking stories at the league-wide level. He has previously worked as an MLB and NBA correspondent for the Action Network.
Armed with a degree from one of the most prestigious journalism schools in the country, Wright got his start at the local news level in southern Maryland. He spent time covering high school sports and independent league baseball. Wright then graduated to the national scene, reporting on the NBA, NFL, and MLB for outlets including the Action Network, Sports Handle, and RotoGrinders.
Wright has provided live coverage of the Washington Nationals, Washington Wizards, and DC United. He also traveled to Philadelphia to cover the Maryland Terrapins in the 2015 and 2016 Men's Lacrosse National Championships.
