Blas Castano: Everything you need to know

Castano was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque after Sunday's doubleheader sweep of the Mets. Castano was called up to serve as Colorado's 27th man ahead of Sunday's pair of contests in New York, but he didn't appear in either victory. The right-hander will now return to the Triple-A level, where he's posted a 1.23 ERA and 0.68 WHIP with five strikeouts over seven appearances with Triple-A Tacoma and Triple-A Albuquerque so far this year.

The Rockies recalled Castano from Triple-A Albuquerque to serve as the 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets. Castano was claimed off waivers from Seattle on Tuesday and will now receive his first look in the majors with his new organization. The right-hander has allowed one earned run over 7.1 innings at Triple-A between Albuquerque and Tacoma.

The Rockies claimed Castano off waivers Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque. Castano was designated for assignment by the Mariners last week but will maintain a spot on a 40-man roster with the Rockies. The right-hander opened this season at the Triple-A level and has given up one earned run with a 4:1 K:BB across 6.1 innings.
