The Giants and Royals took the World Series to an epic Game 7 on Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. Giants ace Madison Bumgarner was again the hero, throwing five scoreless innings in relief. With a runner on third and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, he fouled Salvador Perez out to clinch the Giants’ third World Series in five years.
Here is the series-clinching out:
The Giants took a 3-2 lead in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Michael Morse, while Bumgarner (3-0) allowed two hits and struck out four in collecting the win.
