Ole Miss was leading by 10 but stuck deep in its own territory when Jaylen Walton broke off one of the most spectacular touchdown runs of the year.
Walton took a pitch from Bo Wallace and switched directions near the line of scrimmage before breaking away for a 91-yard touchdown that made it 24-10 Rebels with 2:13 left in the third quarter and put State’s playoff hopes on life support.
