‘Tis the season. Bowl season, that is.
We’re just a few days away from the college football postseason, which kicks off this Saturday with five games. This year there will be 39 total bowls, which include the inaugural College Football Playoff semifinals and national championship game.
Playoffs? Yes, playoffs. Finally.
The BCS is out and the CFP is in. The first-ever semifinals – No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Ohio State and No. 2 Oregon vs. No. 3 Florida State – will be played Jan. 1 and the national title game is scheduled for Jan. 12.
If we’ve learned anything from bowl season year after year it’s that while we’ll get some duds, we’re guaranteed memorable moments and mostly exciting games. And the addition of the playoffs only ramps up the buzz.
