Ohio State extended its lead over Alabama to 34-21 in the 3rd quarter of the Sugar Bowl when Steve Miller returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown.
Miller stepped in front of Blake Sims’ pass on a 3rd down play, took the ball and ran to the house.

Sims and Alabama answered, though. The Crimson Tide drove 84 yards on its ensuing possession and Sims capped it with a 5-yard TD run, cutting the margin to 34-28.
