Today is the NBA trade deadline, and moves are expected to be made.
Kevin Garrnett, Goran Dragic, and Arron Afflalo are all names that keep coming up in rumors.
Here’s the breakdown:
Goran Dragic gave the Suns a wish list of the Heat, Knicks and Lakers. The Knicks have discussed trading Tim Hardaway, Jr., and Jose Calderon for him. Although other teams are interested in him, like the Pacers and Celtics, it’s unlikely he’d sign a long-term deal with any of the teams not on his list. ESPN’s Chris Broussard said Suns’ ownership is refusing to accommodate his request.
The Timberwolves have a lot of interest in getting Kevin Garrnett back. Garrnett started his career with the team, and the Nets have apparently offered him in exchange for Thaddeus Young. Garnett has told the Nets a buyout is off the table.
The Nuggets want picks, and have put Arron Afflalo on the block for a first- and second-round pick, and are shopping for two first-round picks for Wilson Chandler.
The Thunder and Nets are discussing a trade that would send Brook Lopez to Oklahoma City in exchange for Reggie Jackson, Kendrick Perkins and Perry Jones
