Georgia State Panther guard R.J. Parker, the son of head coach Ron Parker, hit a game-winning three point shot from WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY downtown to sink No. 3 seed Baylor. Baylor was the 2nd Big 12 No. 3 seed to go down in the first series of games.

With 3:34 remaining, Baylor was up 54-44. Georgia State went on a 13-0 run to close the game with 12 of the 13 points coming directly from Parker. He finished the game with 16.
