Charley Hoffman was part of the first group to tee off at the 79th Masters at Augusta National.

And he made quite a buzz, taking the early clubhouse lead at 5-under par. After two rounds, he was in second place at 9-under 140, 5 strokes behind leader Jordan Spieth. Hoffman ultimately finished at T9 with an 8-under 280.

Hoffman picked up where he left off last month as he got off to another hot start, this time at The Players Championship, often referred to as golf’s “fifth major.”

The San Diego, California, native was a golfer from the beginning, winning two straight high school state titles (1994 & 1995) and qualifying for the Buick Invitational (now the Farmers Insurance Open) three times as an amateur.

Heavy’s partners at DraftKings are running a fantasy contest for next month’s U.S. Open called the PGA Millionaire Maker. You can turn $20 into $1 million. Reserve your spot in the contest today.
