Manchester City will look to keep their hopes alive for second place as they welcome Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Although Aston Villa are coming off an emotional victory over Liverpool that sent them to the FA Cup final, they will have to regroup for a crucial relegation battle.
On the injury front, both teams are limping into this contest. Manchester City will be without Vincent Kompany and Samir Nasri, while Villa will miss Ciaran Clarke and
City have won seven of the last nine meetings between the two teams in all competitions, including 2-0 at Villa Park in October. The teams first met in 1899, with Villa earning a 2-1 win.
