Not a lot of people knew who Charley Hoffman was before the first round of the Masters. That was the day he got off to a blazing start at the Masters, shooting a 5-under, which gave him the lead for much of the day.
Well, Hoffman ended up sticking around near the top of the leaderboard all weekend, eventually finishing T9 at 8-under 280. Hoffman carried that momentum into The Players Championship, where he got off to a hot start.
Stacy Vasil knew who Charley was since high school in California. They were just friends. Eventually they became more than friends. And now she’s Stacy Hoffman.

1. Stacy & Charley Went to the Same High School
Stacy and Charley, 38, both grew up in San Diego, California, and attended Poway High School.
While the two knew each other as teenagers, but they were just friends apparently.
2. She Attended Boston University
When it came time for college, Stacy left the Left Coast for New England, where she attended Boston University.
She and Charley remained friends and soon after began dating.
3. Stacy & Charlie Married in 2009
Stacy and Charlie married in 2009 and have one daughter, Claire.
4. She Is Active in the PGA Tour Wives Association
Stacy is very active in the PGA Tour Wives Association, which provide assistance to needy children and their families through charitable events.
She and other players’ wives co-wrote a book “Beyond Fairways and Greens: A Look inside the Lives of PGA TOUR Families” and they have also done a cookbook.
5. Stacy is a Fixture at the Tournaments
Stacy and daughter Claire go with Charley to most of his events, including this week’s Masters.

Just a normal girl who fell in love with a guy who golfs. And now we make the road our home for most of the year.
