Shaka Smart will be introduced as the new head basketball coach at University of Texas. He was reportedly offered a five year, $14 million contract by Texas, doubling his salary from Virginia Commonwealth. He coached the Rams for six years, making the Final Four in 2011, the first Final Four in school history.
The press conference is scheduled for 5:15 Eastern Daylight Time on Friday April 3rd.
