After piling up the goals and wins all season long, Barcelona is finally within sight of a La Liga title. A win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday will earn Barca’s 23rd title in club history. Barcelona is four points ahead of Real Madrid with two matches to play.
Defending La Liga champion Atletico is in a fight for third place, — and automatic qualification into next year’s Champions League — four points ahead of Valencia. Atletico hasn’t finished in the top three in domestic football for three straight seasons since 1960-63.
Star forward Luis Suarez is in doubt for Barcelona with a hamstring injury, with Pedro the logical replacement should the Uruguayan should be unable to go.
