That’s how much of a chance the Rockets had in coming back from a 19-point deficit in an elimination game against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals. The stunning win in Los Angeles lifted the Rockets to a 113-100 Game 7 win at home, and into the Western Conference finals.
The Rockets will face an entirely new task in the No. 1 seed, 67-win Golden State Warriors, who are 8-2 in the playoffs. The Warriors are heavy favorites in this series (Rockets are +450 to win the series while Golden State is -750) and are 10 point favorites at home for tonight’s Game 1.
The series will feature the top two players in MVP voting in Golden State’s Steph Curry and Houston’s James Harden. Golden State won the season series 4-0.
