The future is bright in Oakland. No, this not an article about the Golden State Warriors. The Oakland Raiders have quietly built a talented, young nucleus.

Derek Carr enters his second NFL season at quarterback. He will have a brand new weapon in rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper in addition to former San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree.

The Raiders hired Jack Del Rio, former Denver Broncos defensive coordinator, as head coach in Janaury. In addition to Del Rio, Oakland hopes new defensive coordinator Ken Norton, Jr. can push the defense to even greater heights. Norton was the linebackers coach for the Seattle Seahawks and a key reason for the Seahawks defensive success over the past few seasons.

The rookies reported to training camp on July 26th while the entire team reports Thursday, July 30th. The camp will take place at the Napa Valley Training Complex. Training camp will end Tuesday, August 25th. The team has not released a complete training camp practice schedule.
