That was fast.
Taking advantage of some horrific defending by Bayern Munich, Hoffenheim’s 23-year-old German forward Kevin Volland pounced on a loose ball and finished past Bayern’s Manuel Neuer for the fastest goal in Bundesliga history.
Eight seconds. Against the German champions, no less.
Volland joined Hoffenheim in 2012 from 1860 Munich and has been capped at the U-21 level for Germany.
Prior to the match, Volland indicated that his team needed to take the game to Bayern instead of sitting back.. Certainly.
