In what will probably be the goal of the weekend across the country, Sheffield Wednsday forward Marco Matias struck this incredible volley for his team against Leeds United in Championship — the second tier of English soccer — action.
Matias took the pass from Liam Palmer and fired a sensational volley past Leeds goalie Marco Silvestri.
Matias signed for Sheffield Wednesday over the summer from Nacional, where he scored 21 goals in 42 matches last season. The 26-year-old Portuguese player began his career at Sporting Lisbon.
