The Carolina Panthers have surged to the top of the NFC South standings with a 2-0 start out of the gate, thanks in large part to their defensive unit and their offensive leader, quarterback Cam Newton.
The dynamic Newton, who has been keeping defenses off-balance with his dual passing-running attack, has been leaping to new heights this season, even for him.
The Saints, on the other hand, are a disappointing 0-2 after a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their tough defense on Sunday at home. New Orleans will need to clean up its act after their lackluster, turnover-prone offense prevented them from really being in the game down the stretch.
